The Tom and Susan Durant Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) charitable organization dedicated to enhancing and empowering leaders in the community through various forms of support including financial contributions, gifts in kind and volunteerism. Formed in 2022, the Tom and Susan Durant Foundation is the official charity of Classic Chevrolet in Grapevine, TX. The Foundation strives to utilize the talents and resources of Classic Chevrolet, our dedicated partners and ownership to enrich the greater central Texas area.

 Although the foundation is new the dedication and work behind this initiative has been moving forward and creating impact for over a decade. For 13 years, Tom and Susan, employees of Classic Chevrolet, partners, vendors and community leaders have directed proceeds from our annual events to a variety of charities throughout North Tarrant County- from combating homelessness to supporting our military and much more.  

Any registered nonprofit organization or charitable group in North Tarrant County area Texas, and services the Central Texas area, are invited to apply. We ask all applicants to provide proof of charitable status in the grant application. Even though all North Tarrant County area organizations are invited to apply, the Tom and Susan Durant Foundation focuses on programs that comply with our mission statement.

FAQS

1. Who can apply?

Any registered nonprofit organization or charitable group serving within North Tarrant County area of Texas, are invited to apply. We ask all applicants to provide proof of charitable status in the grant application. 

2. When is the deadline to apply?

All applications must be returned by email no later than December 16, 2024.

3. Can my organization apply if we’ve received a donation from the Tom and Susan Durant Foundation before?

Yes, we welcome all applications. Previous donations of cash or in-kind items will be considered but will not restrict an organization from receiving funds.

4. What if I don’t know all of the information requested on the grant application?

The Tom and Susan Durant Foundation kindly asks that all applications be completed to the best of the applicant’s ability. Incomplete applications may result in determination by the board of directors.

5. How many grants will be donated, and for how much?

Grants will vary in amount and quantity at the discretion of the board of directors of the Tom and Susan Durant Foundation. Funds will be distributed in November 2025.

6. What if I forget to include an item in my application?

Should the Tom and Susan Durant Foundation determine that an application is incomplete, we will contact the organization and request additional information prior to the application deadline. Should the Tom and Susan Durant Foundation receive an incomplete application on or after the deadline, we will be unable to consider that application.

7. I’ve completed the application, now what?

The Tom and Susan Durant Foundation will vet and collectively go through each application to its fullest. If additional information and/or a meeting is needed, we will contact you. Once decision have been made, the board of directors will contact each applicant on status of grant application.
